Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ! Congratulations, CIY-Batangas – its officers and supporters! We are in our third year of exis-tence now. I know, in our own we lack things, resources, and workers. Everything was done through faith and by faith and through the united efforts of all of you. Sometimes, unavailability of the officers and Advisors affects our planning and implementation of the activities but thanks to our Good Lord, He is always available for us. Even though the set of officer changes over time, we should remain obedient, reliant, and faithful to our God. Let us amplify God‘s call and magnify Christ‘s name. As we bring glory to our Lord, we bring souls to Christ! Press on, soldiers of Christ! We are sure that in Him all is counted and all is not in vain. He will surely give what we are dreaming of – a spiritually-saturated Batangas! ABLAZE...EVEN GREATER! SUMMARY: We are the Lord‘s children and He is our Father. As His children, we have to be like Him. We have to imitate Him and walk the way He walks. As children of light, we are destined as victors in all facets of life. We must be victorious in our relationships with God and the people around us, in our ca-reer, in our studies, in our ministries, and in our faith in Christ. We must be the source of encouragement and the reality of dreams. We must be like David who does not offers burnt offerings to the Lord that cost him nothing. Because if it is for the Lord, it must be the purest, it must be the holiest, and it must be the best! Now is the time to start the next big step of triumph for God. Now is the time for extremes – and through unity, harmony, obedience, faith, and trust let‘s achieve the victory through Christ! As He set our hearts ABLAZE, let‘s do our part and make it EVEN GREATER!

GENERAL CAMP OBJECTIVES:

- Establish and strengthen a working relationship: among the campers, between campers and officers/staff, between campers and ministers

1. Various groups will be formed for the purpose of having a smooth flow of work a. He is expected to cooperate wholeheartedly in such assigned duties. 2. Camper‘s purpose for coming to this camp is to study and acquire the correct training, knowledge and

attitudes in various phases of their daily Christian lives. a. He is expected to attend classes, devotions, and night activities promptly and regularly. b. Loitering around is strictly prohibited. 3. Every camper should dress properly. a. Wearing of indecent shorts or pants is strictly discouraged. b. Earrings and piercings for boys are prohibited. c. Wear your ID‘s from morning ‗til evening activities. 4. No campers will be allowed to go out of the seminar/training grounds for any reason, except in cases

of emergency or when a written permit of gate pass is obtained from the camp director or adviser. 5. Smoking or drinking is strictly prohibited. Violations of this particular rule will be sent home (Local

Church) at the earliest possible time to discourage others from coming with the same violation. 6. Dorms and toilets should be kept clean and in order. The officers and staffs will conduct unannounced

inspections from time to time. 7. Campers should behave properly. Use nice words when talking to anyone in or out of the camp. 8. Outsiders must first secure permission from the camp director before entering the camp premises. a. They are expected to follow all rules. b. Parents, relatives, and friends of delegates should be told to register so that visitor‘s ID, food

lodging and accommodation could be made available to them. 9. Gentlemen should not loiter near ladies dorm and same it goes with the ladies. Business should be

transacted through the dorm parents or camp staffs. 10. Everyone must be careful so as to avoid injury, accident or loss. Phones and gadgets must be sur-

rendered to the group leaders for safekeeping and can only be used during siesta and after the day‘s activities.

POINT SYSTEM: To add an element of fun and thrill in this oh-so exciting summer escapade, let‘s mix some math to the drill! The group to earn the highest amount of points at the end of the camp will be given the most-coveted Guild Primacy Award. So how do you earn good points? Good deed begets good merit. Set an example for everyone to follow. Be the first team to be com-pleted in every session! Do well in your working group tasks! Show your team spirit! Excel in all activi-ties! You are sure to receive a corresponding merit. “But, what about the misdeeds?” you ask. ―Spare the rod, spoil the child‖, the Bible says. Aside from the corresponding Disciplinary Actions, every misdeed merits a corresponding demerit. Always late? Filthy conversations? Deliberate violation of the rules? You know what you‘ll get from it, so avoid these blunders as much as you can. Being a camper means we are accountable with one another. Therefore, the mistake of a single group member could be taken as the mistake of the entire group. You don‘t want to drag your group down the drain, do you? - Violation of camp rules (50 points demerit per violation) - Stolen Flag (50 points demerit) - Lost ID, camp kit, or any camp material (20 points demerit)
