STATIC 3D MODELLING
16 - 20 December 2013 - Yogyakarta, IndonesiaSYLLABLE
Review on static modeling and geostatistics :
Advance statistics, data analysis and data transformation Review variogram modeling (calculation, setting and modeling) Estimation methods (simple kriging, ordinary kriging, universal kriging, etc.) Estimation method (ordinary co kriging, collocated co kriging) Theory of stochastic simulation (TGS, SIS, Object-based, SGS, etc.)
Advanced and practical facies modeling :
Discrete modeling method (channel, composite; pixel based belt, indicator; facies merging)
Seismic integration in building facies model
Various approach in modeling facies for transitional environment (focusingon SIS and object-based techniques)
Incorporating channel-lag lithofacies into distributary channel model
Distributary channel modeling with SIS with solid geological concept
Advanced property modeling: Building a proper porosity model from upscaled log that represent facies
distribution and statistical summary of the data.
Effect of upscaling method on porosity data, scaling the distribution to fit todata distribution.
Building permeability model; direct transform (single and multiple,co-kriging method and correction to KH from well test data (EF)
Water saturation modelling with various Pc methods
Volumetric and advanced uncertainty Analysis:
Volumetric calculation (discrepancies on deterministic calculation, compared to stochastic calculation)

About The Instructor
Abdul Latif Setyadi holds Bachelor Degree in geology from Ga-jah Mada University and Master Degree in Petroleum Engi-neering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He brings awealth 16 years of international experience in variety assign-ment with ADCO, Chevron, ARCO, and various worldwidesubsurface consultancies. He is an expert geomodellerwith lecturing international courses experience.
He has a deep expertise in various geoscience application (Petrel, IRAP,RMS Geoframe and Openwork) and impressive detail analysis geosciencesinterpretation. He has extensive experience in reservoir modeling withspecializes in geostatistical modeling. He has conducted numerous analysesin sedimentology and sequence stratigrapy, geological modeling andgeostatistics (deterministic to stochastic modeling from structural, facies, property, up-scaling, volumetric and uncertainty through well planning),fracture modeling, reservoir characterization and risk analysis in bothsiliciclastic and complex carbonate reservoirs.
Abdul Latif Setyadi has studied various resevoirs in deltaic Central SumateraBasin (Indonesia); platform carbonate In Sout Sumatera Basin (Indonesai);platform carbonat, alluvial, shallow marine sediment and volcaniclastic ofNorthWest Java Basin (Indonesia); platform carbonates of onshore Rub al-Khali Basin (united Arab Emirates); Mahakam delta of Kutei Basin(Indonesia), deltaic-coastal environment of Sarawak and Sabah Basin(Malaysia), fluvial reservoir of Cuulong Basin (Vietnam), deltaic environmentof Pattani Basin (Gulf of Thailand) and coastal sediments of Taranaki Basin(New Zealand).
