Participation is The citizens right to participate in

decisions that effects their lives at all levels and the capability to participate in managing public affairs before private ones.

The right to choose our representatives freely without the intervention of any institution or people regardless of their status

A crucial condition to have accountability and people’s supervision .

A key ingredient to the democratic process and a not a supplementary

Democratic participations means empowering citizens with the freedom of choice.

One of the meaning of participation is social equality.

There is a big difference between this meaning and the participation in the daily life activities .

The concept of participationParticipation is an organized conscious

social act and not just a group of individual efforts, meaning it is achieved by a large number of people. They are considered a social sect or class or profession..etc

Participation is an organized act that requires an organizational vessels and a society that provides channels of expression, in this sense not only is it a social participation but also a participation that is formed on the least way of organizing.

•Participation is an act of negotiation with a capability that reflects a certain ability

•Participation actually occurs when people starts to feel effective.

•When people feel disempowered they cant participate.•

Participation frameworkTo achieve participation; an

organized frame work that allows all citizens and different people a democratic act of democracy.

Civil society organizations consists of: parties, unions, civil associations, non-governmental organizations, federations, social clubs…etc is an organized frame work and fertile space to practice participation widely and effectively

Obstacles and ChallengesStopping different forms of

freedom of expression reflects an authoritarian character and security of state and the monopoly of power.

Codify legislative tyranny structure significantly effected the structure of political life over the past three decades, which led to the absence of frameworks for participation

The absence of the culture of dialogue and collective negotiations as way to resolve conflicts and compromise.

Participation as a collective act was effected the political and economical transformations that occurred within the last 30 years and not to mention the effect of the liquidity of class

Opportunities and Prospects of Participation

The fall of authoritarian security and breaking the fear barrier within the people.

Widening the the culture of participation after 25th of January 2011 and valuing the organized and collective act in making a change.

Establishing a new organized frame work capable of embracing different individuals and groups from different parties and independent unions as well as new innovative forms of organizations

The role of civil society in activating participation

The different organizations of the civil society forms a frame work where citizens can work through it

Civil society trains the citizens on how to participate in public affairs

Civil society develops the concept and status of participation with maturity, openness using democtratic ways which rebuild the society and confirms it independence .
