The Kazakh poet, philosopher, translator musician and political activist Abai was born in Chingis-Tau, Semipalatinsk province. Abai contributed a lot into Kazakh poetry. His poems express great patriotism and originated from Kazakh folklore. Abai also translated the works of Russian and European authors into Kazakh.

(1799-1837) (1799-1837) Russia's greatest poet, Alexander Pushkin was born on May 26, 1799 in Moscow, Russia. He began writing poetry when he was very young and had his first poem published when he was 14. Pushkin created the language of modern Russian poetry. His poetry is expressive and powerful.
