UAE gathers the AAU family in the National Sports Day

In the presence of Sheikh Salem Balrkad Al Ameri and Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized a sports day on the occasion of the National Sports Day. The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, Al Ain Campus, under the supervision of Coach Odai Owaidat in cooperation with Dr. Majed Al Saleh Associate Professor from the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences.

A distinctive participation AAU in the Special Olympics

Twenty students from the Al Ain University of Science and Technology volunteered at the Special Olympics World Games, Abu Dhabi 2019.The Student’s participation was in coordinating events, assisting sports officials, supporting technical systems and other voluntary fields.During honoring the winning teams, Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh, AAU

Chancellor, praised the student’s participation and stressed on the importance of volunteering which would develop new skills and abilities, acquire new experiences and further self-development, strengthen the CV of the volunteer and enhance his employment prospects.

Honoring distinguished students for the 16th time at AAU

For the 16th time since the establishment of Al Ain University of Science and Technology, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, honored the distinguished students through the University’s Honor List Ceremony, of the first semester of the academic year 20182019/ organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain Campus, attended by Colleges Deans and Student’s parents.Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, recommended the students to learn more and keep up-to-date with knowledge. He also stressed the importance of exerting effort, perseverance, and diligence to achieve excellence.

The College of Business at Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized the Career Fair 2019, which has received a high turnout of university students who are looking for opportunities for training, employment and build a successful career.Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President and Dr. Adel Ahmad, Dean of the College of Business, opened the exhibition, which is an ideal platform to enhance communication between different institutions and human cadres.

AAU delegation returns to the country after performing Umrah

The delegation of the Al Ain University of Science and Technology came back from the Holy Land after performing the Umrah rituals through the initiative launched under the supervision of the Human Resources unit to promote national and religious affiliation and adhere to the teachings of the Islamic religion. Approximately 25 employees from the

academic and administrative staffs visited the Prophet Mohammad tomb, Al Masjid Al Nabawi and other Holy Places. The delegation provided their special thanks to the university in giving them this great opportunity, which has a great impact on them and drives them to further work towards excellence.

Coinciding with the International Women’s Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology in Al Ain Campus, hosted Author Iman Al Yousif, the first Representative of the UAE and the Gulf in the International Writing Program 2018 organized

by the University of Iowa, USA, and Poet Zainab Al Refae, the winner of Sheikha Latifa Childhood Creativity Award for Nabati poetry. The two guests talked about their success stories and the challenges they faced through an interesting dialogue moderated.

Various activities were organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campus, on the occasion of the Mother’s Day which is celebrated by the 21st of March yearly. The event was organized to express the appreciation for all the mothers, and it was attended by the academic and administrative staffs, in addition to, the people of determination students and their mothers.

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Human Resources Unit at Al Ain University of Science and Technology, organized an open day for the AAU female staff at Al Ain campus, including discussion sessions, various competitions and recreational games.

A Seminar on ABET Accreditation

The College of Engineering (CoE) at Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized a seminar about ABET Accreditation in Al Ain Campus. The seminar was presented by Dr. Mousa Hussein, who is a certified ABET evaluator; and attended by Dr. Qutaibah Al Thebyan, Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Bassam Harb, Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, and the faculty members from the College of Engineering (CoE) and College of Business (CoB).

The College of Business at Al Ain University of Science and Technology, Al Ain Campus, organized a workshop entitled “Demonstration of a Software about Business Simulation”, presented by Mr. Abraar Lilani, Director, White Feathers Group, and attended by Dr. Adel Ahmad, Dean of the College of Business, academic staff and students.

AAU Participates in the 25th Special

Libraries Conference

Khalifa library at Al Ain University of Science and Technology participated in the 25th Annual Conference and Exhibition of Special Libraries Association, Arabian Gulf Chapter. Under the theme “The Internet of Things: The Future of the Connected Internet Societies”, which was attended by more than 500 participants from different countries.

AAU Highlights the Medical Liability Laws

The College of Law at Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized a seminar entitled, Highlights on the UAE Medical Liability Law, presented by Mrs. Zahra Al Mansoori, Director of Legal Affairs at Al Ain Hospital, and was attended by Prof. Mustafa Qandil, Dean of the college of law, academics and students. The seminar focused on the new legal provisions that were introduced under the latest amendment to the UAE Medical Liability Law in view of the practical application of these provisions.

AAU hosts “Mediclinic” in the World

Cancer Day

High performance for students in the Open

Basketball Championship and Badminton

Al Ain University of Science and Technology team, Abu Dhabi campus, won the first place in the Abu Dhabi Inter-Universities Football League after beating the Al Khwarizmi team by, 4-2.On the other hand, AAU team, Al Ain Campus won the fifth place out of 11 participating teams from various universities in the UAE, after beat-ing the Zayed› University team with four goals for two.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology, Al Ain Campus, hosted Dr. Rania Hussain from Mediclinic Al Jowhara Hospital to present an awareness lecture about the Cancer, coinciding with the World Cancer Day, in the presence of academic staff and students of the College of Pharmacy.

A Triple basketball championship and a Badminton Championship were organized by Al Ain University of Science and Technology represented by the Sports Unit and in collaboration with Dr. Majed Al Saleh Associate Professor from the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences. Which was attended by approximately 128 students from different colleges and continued for three days.

AAU Celebrates UAE Children’s Day

In cooperation with Teddy’s Inn nursery, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology, Al Ain Campus, celebrated the UAE Children’s Day which coincides on 15th March every year, by hosting a group of children between the ages of two and four years to spend enjoyable times with the Deanship of Student Affairs team.
