Our “My Premier Training Account” (MyPTA) is an online personal account for students to access all their study resources anytime and anywhere. AATLevel1Access AAT Access is a new flexible, home study Level 1 Accounting Qualification launched in January 2011. Accredited under the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It is designed to help less experienced adults and young students (16‐19) gain the skills and confidence to build a career in business or accountancy. It will also help students who are not ready for Level 2 ‐ this may be because they: 

Lack confidence  Speak English as a second language  Prefer more support or a stepped approach to grasp the 

accounting concepts 

The opportunity to develop business skills and grow in confidence will help them to move into the workplace or progress to the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

Creating business documents Learn how essential business documents are to anyone working in an accounting function. By the end of this unit you will: 1. Know that there are different types of business documents 2. Know why it is important to use the right communication 3. Be able to produce routine business documents 

Essential accounting procedures Learn about keeping accurate financial records putting systems in place to help do this. Understand and be familiar with the accounting terminology used in the business world. By the end of this unit you will: 1. Understand basic accounting terminology 2. Understand the use of business documents 3. Prepare to record business transactions in the books of prime entry 4. Understand types of coding and batch control 5. Be able to prepare documents to process receipts and payments 6. Be able to prepare a basic profit statement 

Mathematics for accounting Handling money and working with numbers. Using basic mathematical concepts accurately and with confidence. By the end of this unit you will be able to: 1. Add and subtract whole numbers and numbers up to two decimal places 2. Multiply and divide whole numbers and up to two decimal places 3. Calculate the ratio or proportion of two numbers 4. Calculate the percentage of one number in relation to another number 5. Apply fractions to whole numbers 6. Calculate the average of a range of numbers

Assessments(Examinations) 

At the end of the course you will be assessed to ensure that you can demonstrate the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding required to meet the learning outcomes and objectives of each unit. The assessment will take place at an AAT Approved Assessment centre in the form of a Computer Based Test   Computer Based Test An exam supervised under test conditions at an AAT approved assessment centre. Your exam is marked by the computer and you will receive your results instantly.  

HowandwheredoIsitanassessment? There are AAT approved assessment centres across the UK. The AAT have a search facility on their website  

that you will find in your MyAAT account.  Log in to your personal online MyAAT and search for your nearest assessment centre.  Simply contact your chosen assessment centre and book the date and time you wish to sit  

the assessment.  Attend your assessment centre, take and pass your assessment and receive your results  

 

AssessmentFees:AAT Assessment Fees are £28 but assessment centres will charge an admin fee of at least £15 on top and can vary  

dependent on assessment centre. On successful completion of each level you will receive your certificate directly from the AAT. 

You will need to pay the assessment fee directly to the exam centre as and when you book each assessment.

GettingStarted  

 

Getting started with your studies couldn't be easier. You can enrol regardless of academic background, nationality, age, location, sex, religion or occupation. There are multiple methods of enrolment and you can start your studies within 1 hour! 

Over the phone:  

The easiest and quickest way to enrol is over the phone using a credit/debit card. This will only take a few minutes and the course advisor will complete the enrolment form for you.  If you enrol Monday to Friday before 3pm you will receive all your course material the very next day (including Saturday).
