Research

What Was Learned

• Use of few colors and both natural and

synthetic woods

• Most designs have not changed in years

• Use of synthetic wood for ease of

replacement and durability

• Very geometric form language

• Small space but used efficiently

Took a trip to the Metro Beach Boat

Show to gather research data and to

interview dealers and consumers about

sailing. We learned about the material

and processes used in modern cockpits

and new technologies being applied.
