In Memory Of
Aaron Jacob Goddard
February 8, 1984 ~ May 9, 2010
Aaron Jacob Goddard was born February 8,
1984 to Jeff and Jeanne (Hartz) Goddard
in Watford City, North Dakota. He was raised
and educated in rural Watford City, first home
schooled and then graduated
from Watford City High School in 2002. His
interests in school were academics and he ex-
celled in math, and advanced studies in ge-
ometry. He was a deep and philosophic
thinker and loved to write prose and po-
etry. He was raised in the Christian faith, was
born again at a young age, and was baptized
at Spring Lake Park in Williston. Every summer from age 13 to
18, he attended Child Evangelism Fellowship training in east-
ern North Dakota. This prepared him to hold backyard Bible
Clubs each summer locally.
After graduation, Aaron attended West Coast Baptist College
in Lancaster, California studying theology until 2005. Aaron
earned his commercial driver’s license in Denver, Colorado. He
drove truck for Halliburton, Sanjel and also drove huge haul
trucks for Freeport/McMoran copper mine in Arizona. He
recently returned to North Dakota and was last employed by
American Casing in Williston.
Aaron was a friend to everyone he met and had a very gentle
and kind nature. He had a love of all animals, especially his
pets. He enjoyed exploring, off-roading, and the great outdoors
off of the normal tourist paths.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Jeff and Jeanne Goddard of
Pie Town, NM; brother, Jeremy (Christy) Goddard of Lead, SD;
sister, Laura (Marcos) Reyes of Las Vegas, NV; grandparents,
Jessie Goddard of Mesa, AZ and Calvin and Bess Hartz of
Whiting, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cephas Goddard,
whom he admired and spent a lot of quality time with when he
was younger.
“I am the Resurrection and the Life, saith the Lord: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;
and whosoever liveth And believeth in me shall never die.”
