Family Child Care (FCC) is the care of children in affiliated homes, either
privatized base housing or off-base homes. The Family Child Care Program
provides an alternative to center-based care for families that need full-time,
part-time, hourly care, swings, mid-shifts, evening care, weekend care, care
for children with special needs, infants & school-age children, as well as care
when attending reserve duty. Parents wishing to enroll their children in the
FCC program can obtain the names of certified providers posted monthly.
*Any individuals caring for other families' children totaling more than 10 hours a week on a regular basis must be licensed to provide care in on-base quarters.

CDC West had a very busy and engaging month. Thank you to Parents as Partners (Parent Advisory Board)
for the Art Show and Reindeer Prance. These two events are fundraisers to help Parents as Partners support
Teacher Appreciation week. Thank you to the parents who had a fun time with our children decorating
cookies and spending some fun quality time with them in their classroom.
78th FSS hosted Breakfast with Santa. Child and Youth Programs facilitated an activity where the children
were able to make snow globes. Everyone had a ball and the children were able to take home a souvenir.
Have a bonfire and
make some Smores.
You could always
add other activities
such as watching a
movie outdoors or
telling stories
around the fire.
Stargazing is always a fun event if you find a secluded area. Make stargazing
comfortable by blowing up an inflatable pool and lining it with blankets and pil-
lows or you can fill up the back of a truck bed. Now there isn’t hard ground or
bugs to spoil the fun.
