OMA vs. Regular Photometer

Measuring at a single wavelength is like viewing one small sliver of a horizon.

In a cloudy image, you can guess at the horizon line, but it is difficult because of overlapping visual elements, and you only have one piece of information to look at.

There is no context to verify your guess.

OMA reads the complete spectrum.

This is like viewing the entire horizon. You discern the true horizon line with certainty because its appearance at each and every reference point verifies your perception.
