Place the patient in a shoulder immobilizer for a periodof at least two weeks. Allow the patient to remove theshoulder immobilizer only for washing and elbow flexionextension exercises. Motion below shoulder height ispermitted until six weeks, at which time full active motionis commenced. Avoid heavy resistance work until threemonths post operation.
