(1) HistoryThe Braking Control System (BCS) S5B software and Wheel Steering Control System(WSCS) S5B software developments were launched to address in-service limitationsrelated to the braking and steering system. These BCS and WSCS software arecompatible for A350-900 and A350-1000.Landing Gear Extension and Retraction (LGERS) S5A software is the A350-1000 entry-into-service software and offers maturity improvement for A350-900 as well.

(2) Objective/ActionBCS and WSCS software S5B :

- Address limitations related to software which have been identified in-service,

- Correct Braking and Steering Control System (BSCS) Built-In Test Equipment(BITE) issues,

- Merge A350-900 and A350-1000 BCS in one single software standard,- Merge A350-900 and A350-1000 WSCS in one single software standard.On A350-1000, BCS software S5B allows :

- In combination with the installation of RBCU hardware H4-3 (MOD 113626 /L04011), removal of the temporary documentary unit (TDU) and AFM TemporaryRevision No. 94 associated with ECAM Temporary Change (ETC) 32AS for thealerts BRAKES A-SKID FAULT ON ALL WHEELS and BRAKES A-SKID OFF.

- Deactivation of ECAM Temporary Change (ETC) code 29BF.
