CONCESSIONARY TRAVEL

• Students can continue to use their Primary School Smart Cards (SSCs) for concessionary travel till end April 2015

• A new Secondary Level School Smart Card will be issued subsequently



FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (F.A.)

• Submit the application by 29th December

• You will be informed once the application is successful

• Proceed to buy textbooks, uniforms and PE attire only after you are informed of the application outcome

Higher Mother Tongue (Express Stream)

• MOE will offer students who are eligible to study Higher

Mother Tongue

• Students would have received Form A, titled “APPLICATION

TO OFFER A HIGHER MOTHER TONGUE LANGUAGE” from the

OG teacher

• Form A must be completed and submitted to the General

Office by today or no later than 26 Dec 2014, 5pm.

• For students who are appealing for admission to other

schools should still submit Form A to us.



Appeal to offer Higher Mother Tongue

• Students need to satisfy the following criteria:

a. Merit in HMTL / grade ‘A’ in MTL

AND

b. Grade ‘A’ in English Language

• You are required to sit for a school proficiency test

• Appeal form can be found in your orientation package

• Please submit to General Office by Friday (2 Jan 2015), 8.00am



• Date: 5 Jan 2015 (Monday) (Day 2 of Orientation)

• Time: 3pm – 4.30pm

• Venue: report to the hall punctually

• Release of results: Thursday (8 Jan 2015)

Details of Proficiency Test



Third Languages



Third Languages

• Students who are eligible and have applied to study either one of the Third Languages, would have also received the outcome of their application from the OG Teacher.

• Successful applicants have to register at the MOE Language Centres or Zonal Centres where they have been posted to on 30 Dec 2014 (Tuesday) from 0830 – 1700hrs.

• Failure to register would mean that you do not wish to accept the offer.



Conversational Malay/Chinese



(Optional For All Streams)

• Conversational Chinese – for non-Chinese

• Conversational Malay – for non-Malays

• 20 hrs Elementary module (10weeks × 2hr lessons)

• One of the weekday afternoon (tentatively 3rd week of Term 1)

• Limited places available

• Selection based on PSLE English and MT results (Grade B or better for both EL & MT)

• All course fees, except textbooks, will be borne by MOE

• Application form can be found in the Orientation package

• Submission of application latest by 2 January 2015 (Friday), 8.00am, to the

General Office
