Stalin’s Soviet UnionStalin’s Economic Plans• Stalin’s state takeover of

farmland resulted in a dramatic fall in agricultural production as well as mass starvation.

• Stalin poured money and labor into industrialization rather than basic necessities such as housing and clothing.
