On March 24, the crew and Captain
Armstrong , prepared for tak
e off aboard the spacecraft Omega. The
astronauts objective was to fly on the moon, to stop a
meteorite that was heading menacingly toward Earth.
Once the crew was on board the shuttle begán its
expedition into the unknown of the Universe. The
departure was smooth, and the ship left Earth's
atmosphere without damages or inconvenient.
Arrived on the moon, the crew was preparing to
locate and destroy the meteorite loaded with dust
and ice which was threatening many lives. Johnny
the younger member of the crew noticed trouble
with the ship’s engines, damages which could
affect the entire operation, even more it could
put their life in danger.
Caught in the middle of this problem, captain Armstrong, is retiring into his cabin where he
tried to decide the fate of millions of people and implicitly that of his crew. Pressed by the tension that enshrouded all the ship and by the time that was leaking, the captain decided to order the shuttle repair as soon as possible. Jonny with Tom, the strongest of those present, was
committed to go outside to repair all the damages. After 4 hours
while they faced the absence of air, the cold that passed through
the protection suit and the reduced visibility, the two managed to solve the ship
problems.
Shortly after the ship was repaired, the
meteorite was approaching with an
unimaginable speed. Without second
thoughts, Armstrong ordered to open fire ,
which would destroy the huge ball of fire.
The repeated blows at the meteorite surface
weakened it, and finally destroyed it,
spreading it throughout the Universe in the
form of small pieces of ice.
With the last powers the crew
and his brave captain
returned
to Earth where they will be
acclaimed by all the happy
people who escaped of an
inevitable end because of
them.
