A TRIP TO CAMERON HIGLAND It was a bright Sunday morning on 22 March 2012 when 35 members of Nature Club set out by chartered bus to Cameron Highland for a good cause: to visit to Boh Tea Plantation. The Teacher-Advisors who accompanied these caring students were Puan Fazira and Puan Lily. The chartered bus arrived at the venue at about 10.a.m. The Guide, Mr Edward, was there to welcome us and he asked us to get some rest at Hotel Passembores Hangite as we will stay there as our accommodation in Cameron Highland. The welcome we received from the staff of the Hotel was very warm and touching. We started off with a visit to Boh Tea Plantation at 2.00 p.m. As we arrived at the plantation, we had to carefully pay attention to a briefing which was given by Mr Kuan weng , the General Manager of the Plantation. It was a wonderful experience as we had a chance to pick the tea leaves on our own. At 5.30 pm, we were given some refreshment by the Tea Plantation Staff. It was really great to be at the Tea Plantation as we can have the real experience of picking the tea leaves on our own and drink it freshly at the Plantation. Our visit at the Tea Plantation for day 1 ended with enjoyment even though we were a bit tired. At day two, we started at 8.00 am early in the morning to visit to Boh Tea processing factory. At the factory, we were given a talk by the Head Supervisor of the factory about how tea is processed. The Head Supervisor explained the details on how the factory produced the tea leaves into drinks. We were also given the opportunity by the authority of the factory to make a tour at the factory just to get to know with the different areas at the factory. Besides, we also had a chance to buy lovely stuff at the factory. Everybody had full of plastics bags when we out of the factory. At 10.30 am, we continue our trip to visit Rose valley, there were so many beautiful and fresh roses. Since everybody were already tired yet we were still not had our lunch, we decided to visit Berinchang Market to have our lunch as well as to do some shopping for our last hour before we check out from the hotel. At 1.00 pm sharp, we were already in the bus and ready to leave. Overall, it was a great and enjoyable experience and I think some of us are already thinking of visiting this place again soon.Reported byNor Fazira bt Md NorSecretary , Nature Club
