Over the years many people come in and out of our lives…. But it’s
those “old friends” that we remember forever…..
“My father always said that when you die, if you have got five real friends,
then you have had a great life”
-Lee Iacocca
“Hold a true friend with both of your hands”
-Nigerian Proverb
“True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it
is lost.”- Charles Caleb Colton
If you live to be 100, I want to be a hundred minus one day, so I
will never have to live without you.
-Winnie the Pooh
Not one day goes by that I don’t think about my dad. He will
always be in my heart and on my mind…. I will miss him forever!
“Friends are God’s way of taking care of us”
“Friendship is one mind and two bodies”
-Mencius
“We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we all take a little of
each other everywhere”-Tim McGraw
“I’ll lean on you, and you lean on me and we will be okay”- Dave Matthews
band
“A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world
walks out”
Slow Dance
Have you ever watched kidsOn a merry go round?Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground?Ever followed a butterflies erratic
flight?Or gazed at the sun into the fading
night?
You better slow down.Don’t dance so fast. Time is short. The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day On the fly? When you ask, “how are you?”Do you hear the reply?
When the day is doneDo you lie in your bedWith the next hundred choresRunning through your head?
You better slow downDon’t dance so fast.Time is short. The music won’t last.
Ever told a childWe’ll do it tomorrow? And then in haste,Not seen his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,Let a good friendship dieCause you never had time To call and say hi?
You’d better slow down.Don’t dance so fast.Time is short.The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there
When you worry and hurry through your day
It is like an unopened gift…..
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slowerHear the music
Before the song is over
In loving memory of Bobby Ray Lankford
