Maintaining NCARB certification with reciprocity in any state, architectural licenses in most states east of the Mississippi and Texas, and other strategic alliances allows the firm to support its clients with expert services in numer-ous locations. To date, L2 has served as the Architect of Record for over 15,000 guestrooms and vacation villas around the world.

The hospitality experience of L2 extends to a highly specialized team of architecturally-trained interior designers whose current installations include guestrooms, spas, restaurants, markets, ballrooms, and common areas for resort, hotel, and retail clients. In addition, this team has developed an innovative approach to resort sales center design and maintains a mind for sales and the guest experience through the entire design process of any project.

With over 30 years of experience, architecture and interior design licenses in Florida and architectural licenses in twelve other states, Tim Lemons specializes in architectural and interior design for hospitality and resort projects, sales centers, and themed leisure environments. L2 Studios’ recent projects include resort architecture and interior design for Starwood’s Westin St. John Resort and Spa, Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove Resort on St. Thomas, Wyndham’s new Grand Beach resort on St. Thomas and complete interior design renovations for the Swan and Dolphin hotels at Walt Disney World for the Tishman Hospitality Corporation. Tim was responsible for Marriott's first whole ownership condominium project, Marriott's Outlook at Baypointe Grand Residence Resort and the resort design and amenity plan for Marriott's Bay Pointe Resort, both in Panama City, Florida.

Within the realm of resort design, Tim has developed a true passion and expertise for developing guest experience that allows the guest an immersion in the resort theme. This expertise has assisted L2 Studios in providing design for the hospitality industry leaders that include Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Wyndham and Omni. His unique approach identifies with the culture of the developer and the resort customer with an understanding of the guest experience necessary to allow superior guest satisfaction. Tim is a professional member and board member of the American Institute of Architects and was the 2010 President of the Orlando chapter. He is a member of the Orlando Architectural Design Review Board, the immediate past Chairman of the Orlando Downtown Development Board’s Design Review Committee, a past member of the Orlando Historic Preservation Board and he sits on the Urban Missions Board and of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.

He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree, with honors, from the University of Tennessee in 1982, and has practiced both architecture and interior design in Orlando since graduation with projects located in over 10 countries around the world. He resides in Orlando, Florida with his son and two young daughters.

With over 32 years of architectural experience, and over 35 years of computer related and CAD experience, Richard has completed a wide variety of projects all over the world. These projects range in size from small retail and leisure facilities, to entire themed amusement parks. With a long and proven history of successfully utilizing technology in the production and management of projects, many Central Florida firms have sought his assistance as a man-agement and computer consultant. His unique combination of technical skills and creative problem solving has allowed Richard to successfully complete projects with extremely ag-gressive schedules and budgets.

As one of the founding partners of L2 Studios, Richard oversees all production and technol-ogy for the firm. He is fully involved in all phases of the architectural process and responsible for all design and construction documents produced by L2 Studios. He is also responsible for all aspects of technology at L2 Studios, including hardware and software. Richard gradu-ated with high honors from the University of Florida in 1986. While attending the University of Florida and maintaining a GPA of 3.97, he also worked an average of 31 hours per week on a variety of architectural projects for the firm of Miller Associates. Upon graduation, he and his wife of 31 years, Cheryl returned to Orlando and took up residence in the Delaney Park neighborhood where they still reside.

On many afternoons or weekends, you can find Richard on the Little League baseball field, coaching and teaching the young leaders of tomorrow. When not coaching, Richard and his family enjoy spending time offshore or cruising the islands in his boat. Richard often hosts educational sessions at his office to share his passion for success and leadership with his friends and family. Richard is an advisor and board member for a number of charities in Central Florida, including House of Hope, Frontline Outreach, and the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. He is the father of both a son and daughter, and most recently the proud grandfa-ther of three young grandchildren.
