CobaltI 7200 A Novel Cobalt(II)—Molybdenum(V) Phosphate Organic—Inorganic Hybrid
Polymer. — Dark-red needle-like crystals of the polymeric compound (H2pip)3[Co3Mo12O24(OH)6(PO4)8(H1.5pip)4]·5H2O (pip: piperazine) are hydrothermally synthesized from a mixture of Co(OAc)2, H3PO4, MoO3, and pip (H2O, autoclave, 200 °C, 3 d). The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 1 (single crystal XRD). The structure contains a secondary building block composed of two [Mo6O12(OH)3(PO4)4]
9- moieties, bridged by an octahedral Co2+ center. The sand-wich-type {Co[Mo6O12(OH)3(PO4)4]2}
16- dimers are connected via tetrahedral Co2+ cen-ters, forming an infinite one-dimensional polymer. The magnetic behavior of the com-pound is characterized in the temperature range 4—298 K. — (SHI, F.-N.; AMLEIDA PAZ, F. A.; GIRGINOVA, P. I.; NOGUEIRA, H. I. S.; ROCHA, J.; AMARAL, V.
