A Note from Shelli & Cheryl
January 2017
Well - the year is well underway and I am looking for-ward to the riding season. Please look at the ride list on our website www.traildusters.org Sometime in February the password will change, and if you haven’t paid your dues for the year (they were due in October 2016) you will not be able to access the website until you do. We really want to make sure everyone is included so please make sure you are current. I must admit I have never been the President in a club so I appreciate everyone’s understanding. When Cheryl Johnson and I decided to run for President and Vice President, it was because we have seen a steady decline in members and really want to try and have our club grow and to try and do our part. We would like to see kindness and positive words expressed. We are a volun-teer club and none of us are perfect. Let’s all remember that when we are communicating with each other. We have decided our motto for this year will be Humble and Kind. We have a lot of great rides planned and some great meeting ideas for the upcoming year and hope all of you will agree!
We welcome any constructive ideas as well! Happy 2017!!

January 2017 Meeting Minutes
TRAILDUSTERS – CASCADE HORSE CLUB
WORK PARTY January 28, 2017 Pilchuck Tree Farm – Victoria Tract
On a nice day Traildusters Linda Brown, Cliff Benson, Kathy Jones,
Katie Hahler, Dean Hahler, Rich Guthrie, Louise Guthrie, Bruce Da-
vis, Liza Kellogg, and Marianne Honeycutt, and Cascade Horse Club
workers Barbara Woo and Scott Bauer constructed about thirty five
feet of turnpike east of an existing bridge. A fir tree with a broken
top was cut down and cut into sections for side rails. Landscaping
fabric placed between the rails was covered with crushed rock that
was hauled to the near end of the project with a tractor. From there
the crushed rock was distributed with wheel barrows and buckets.
The bridge deck was cleaned and some crushed rock placed in a wet
area on the far end of the bridge. Barbara brought some wonderful
fresh baked cinnamon rolls and Linda Sue Karmon served a great
lunch. We recorded forty seven hours of basic work and nine hours
of skilled work.
