STONE CHURCH CEMETERY

Maple Hill, Kansas

The cemetery of the Maple Hill Community Congregational,"llIrch is located one and one-half miles to the west of the present,.:t' of :.vIapleHilL Kansas. It is not quite clear when burials were.:'st made in the cemetery, but it is known that by the middle.::-;-0'5. there were some graves there, The land was donatee! by\\ ,-\. 1928. Mrs. Wild was the daughter of IRuden Lacock and MyrtleMae Lacock and was born at Topeka, Kan. Mrs. Wild attendedschools in St. Marys, Kan., but lived in the Rossville, Maple Hill,and Willard area during her adolescent years.

To this union were born two childr~n: George Randolph Wild,Jr., on June 28, 1932; and Patricia Wild, on Jan. 17, 1934.

Fern Wild passed away on July 28,\1974 and is buried in theStone Church Cemetery, Maple Hill, Kan •.George Wild, Jr. was married to Vivian Mae Corbin on Sept.

25.1953. Mrs. Wild was the daughter of ;Robert Corbin and Mildred

McCauley Corbin, and was born Aug. 3\ 1932. Both Mr. and Mrs.Wild were graduated from Maple Hill ,High School. Mr. Wild isIengaged in farming and is employed by poodyear Tire and RubberCompanv. Mrs. Wild is Secretary of the Kansas Masonic Founda­tion in Topeka, Kan. The Wild's have two children: Randolph C.Wild, born Sept. 26, 1955; and pamela\ Mae Wild, born July 18,1958.

Patricia Wild married Bill Wilson land they reside in LakeOdessa, Mich .

Wilbur S. Whitlock was born Feb. 14, 1874, at Belleville, Ill.Wilbur was the son of Maynard S. and Laurine Stmpson Whitlock.Mr. Whitlock was raised in the Wells €reek community of KawTownship, Wabaunsee County and attended Kaw schools andCampbell University at Holton, Kan. I

Huldah Clements was born Dec. 14, 1891, at Paxico, Kan.Huldah was the daughter of John and Maggie Sharrai Clementsand was raised in the Paxico, MCFarlantl and Alma communities

where she attended schools. IWilbur S. Whitlock and Huldah May' Clements were married
