Radio for eyes, ears and fingersChoosing a radio for your home has until now often meant a compro-mise between technical features, acoustic performance, ease of opera-tion and aesthetic quality. With the launch of Tangent Fjord, this com-promise is eliminated for the first time, allowing you to bring home a radio that satisfies demanding ears, critical eyes, and curious fingers.

Tangent Fjord is a small radio with a big sound. It appears as a mini-malistic sculpture in the home, inviting operation all by itself. The high-quality materials and seductive f inger-touch panel make Tangent Fjord a physical expression of the satisfaction we experience, when quality in all aspects makes form and function unite on a higher level.

Artwork with contentUnder Tangent Fjord’s sculptural exterior and inviting operation, Tan-gent’s well-known and uncompromising technology resides. Tangent Fjord is one of the few compact table-top radios on the market that plays music as it was recorded: in stereo. At the same time, Tangent has succeeded in integrating a certif ied iPhone docking solution (Made for iPhone). The popular multi-function phone can thus be connected di-rectly to the radio. This places high demands on the technical abilities of the manufacturer, and with the Fjord, Tangent has once again proved that they are able to compete with the world’s best when it comes to modern audio technologies.

Environmental responsibilityThe new Tangent Fjord is released in two versions: an FM version and a DAB+/FM version. Both have a built-in CD-player as well as iPod/iPhone dock, and have minimal power consumption in standby. During opera-tion, power consumption is reduced by the built-in reaction and prox-imity sensor. The sensor shuts down the display and operation panel, when these functions are not in use, waking them to life again, as soon as you approach the radio. So by choosing the Tangent Fjord you also show environmental responsibility for our global resources.

About Jacob Jensen DesignFor more than 50 years, Jacob Jensen Design has been known for ul-tramodern and minimalistic design, changing our perception of how a music system could look as far back as the 1960’s. Several of Jacob Jen-sen’s timeless designs have achieved the status of international clas-sics, and are represented with 16 creations in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. It was therefore a natural step in Tangent’s development to cooperate with one of the uppermost representatives for audio design and Scandinavian design in general.
