    A Nashville Southern Country Christmas!

Day 5, Sun. Dec. 12.…. (B, D) We say good-bye to Nashville today & travel to Louisville, Ky. This afternoon we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Churchill Downs & visit the Kentucky Derby Museum. … Later today, after checking into our Louisville Hotel & enjoying another ‘Hotel Happy Hour’, you’re in for a real treat! Each year the Louisville Mega Cavern is transformed into an underground holiday light spectacular, referred to as ‘Lights Under Louisville.’ You’ll be fascinated as our motor coach makes it’s way thru this underground Mega Cavern & you’ll be able to experience the only underground holiday light show in the world! Quite the thing to see! Day 6, Mon. Dec. 13.…. (B) We’re not thru with Christmas celebrating just yet! Departing Louisville this morning we travel to Peoria, Ill. to continue our holiday festivities. After arriving in Peoria we’ll make a stop at a Glass-blowing Studio that will leave you in awe of this aspiring work of art. You’ll enjoy a demonstration & then have time to visit their gift shop & maybe pick up a Christmas gift or two…… A surprise stop awaits you yet this afternoon before checking into our Peoria Hotel. After dinner tonight we take in the Peoria ‘Festival of Lights’ Display. Peoria’s drive-thru ‘Parade of Lights’ celebrates the holidays with a million sparkles of excitement for both the young & old. This light display is rated one of the largest festivals in the Midwest & has been going on for 37 years strong. Day 7, Tues. Dec. 14.….. (B) We say good-bye to Peoria this morning but our fun isn’t over yet. Yup, you guessed it! Another fun surprise awaits! We’ll stop & visit some 4-legged friends of ours that are a rarity, but ever-so-gentle creatures. You might even find a Christmas present here for a hard-to-buy-for friend when you feel what soft-cuddly fur these animals produce, for such ‘soft’ mittens, scarves & gloves……. We then travel on towards home with a stop in Davenport for lunch. .. Our Christmas Extravaganza comes to an end while bringing with us lots of fun memories, laughs, & new friends made along the way.
