Quality Circle (QC) teams from The Tinplate Company of India Limited (TCIL) won gold medals in the Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2016) held at Kolkata on September 27, 2016. Teachers were honoured and showered with gifts to thank them for their services

TCIL organised a Domestic Management Programme at Gurukul on October 1, 2016. Topics such as Interpersonal Relationship, Domestic Safety, Road Safety and Life Style Management were covered during the inaugural session, which set the context to make them rethink their role in the family. The programme was designed to help the spouse appreciate and understand the contribution they can make in the professional success of an employee. Sessions at the programme were conducted by Mr A Haque, Chief Safety Officer, Ethics, Mrs Ann G Maurya - Ethics Co-Ordinator and POSH Policy in TCIL and Mrs Reeta Malhotra, Chairman (ASHA). All participants also visited the Tinplate Archives, a regular feature in the programme, after their classroom session.

Children participated in large numbers in a cultural programme at C D Centre (No.10 Basti) organised to mark Teachers Day. The event was organised by students at vocational training classes at the Centre.

To mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi TCIL organised a function at Harijan Basti in No.10 Basti to reinforce the message that to progress and develop, a society

must be inclusive. The mukhiya of the basti thanked TCIL for its constant support and the amenities provided to its residents.

Among the distingusied guests present at the observance were M/s DK Singh (Gen. Secy., GTWU), Lokesh Verma, Manager Administration, Parbindar Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Gurprit Singh, Prabhat Kumar Das,JP Singh and Kashi Nath.

SPIRITS SOAR AT VETERANS TOURNAMENT

Jamshedpur Veteran Sports Club organised the Veterans Football Tournament on September 4, 2016 at Tinplate Ground. A total of 10 teams participated in it.Mr Lokesh Verma, Head, Administration, TCIL, inaugurated the tourney. The inaugural match was played between Park India and Agrico Health Association. JVSC also honoured two footballing legends of Jharkhand Mr D Mukherjee, National player andMr Biren Karmakar, former Captain of JSA & Bihar (National).
