The Big Event hosts the UK’s largest display of vehicles available on the Motability Scheme. As well as seeing the huge range of cars, scooters, powered wheelchairs, adaptations and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs) you can also test drive some of the most popular cars and adaptations.

If it’s a car you’re looking for, we have a huge range of over 2,000 to choose from, so there’s bound to be one that suits both your needs and budget. There are three pricing options available:

• Cars that cost less than your mobility allowance, meaning you keep any money left over• Cars that cost the same as your allowance • Cars that cost the same as your allowance plus an Advance Payment (a one-off upfront payment).

Don’t forget that two named drivers are included with your lease, so even if you don’t drive yourself, you can still enjoy our worry-free package. All the major manufacturers supply cars through the Scheme and here are just a few examples:

Did you know?If you need adaptations to help make your driving or travelling experience easier, we currently offer around 400 different adaptations, many of which are available for no extra cost when fitted at the start of your lease.

If you find transferring from your wheelchair into a standard car or storing your wheelchair difficult, a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, or WAV as we call them, could make travelling a lot easier for you. WAVs are vehicles which have been converted by specialists so that wheelchair users can travel in them while remaining in their wheelchair, either as a passenger or a driver.

There are lots of different WAVs available to lease through the Motability Scheme and our WAV suppliers are there to help you find one to suit your needs. Brand new WAVs are available on a five year lease with a mileage allowance of up to 100,000 miles.

Plus...We also offer a range of Nearly New WAVs on a three year lease. These come with all the peace of mind that you would expect from our all-inclusive lease package and are often a more affordable way to lease a WAV on the Scheme.

Small WAVs

If your lifestyle is more suited to short journeys and you can travel fairly independently, a scooter might be the best choice to help you with your mobility.

There are more than 300 products to choose from ranging from small boot scooters to take with you in your car, to large road ready scooters for going longer distances and carrying heavier loads.

All our standard models have a £100 Non-refundable Payment, but they all cost less than your weekly allowance so you’ll have money left over.

Alternatively...If you need more mobility support than a scooter might provide, we also have a wide range of powered wheelchairs to lease on the Scheme. From basic standard models, many with adaptations included, to custom-built models if you have more specific mobility needs.

How it worksThe Motability Scheme is a unique, all-inclusive package, which allows you to exchange your mobility allowance to lease a brand new car, wheelchair accessible vehicle or scooter.

All of the running costs like insurance, maintenance and breakdown are included in the price, so you can enjoy worry-free motoring. A typical lease lasts for three years and the relevant payments are simply deducted from your mobility allowance every four weeks, and paid directly to us by the Department for Work and Pensions.

You don’t have to drive yourself, as insurance for up to two named drivers is included. At the end of your lease you just hand your car back. If like most customers you choose to stay with us, you can select a new car and take another lease.
