I am delighted to introduce you to Three Rivers District Council'sfirst edition of this Leisure Brochure for those people approachingor enjoying an active retirement. We have been able to contact over90 organisations, societies and clubs involved in a wide range ofleisure activities, who all welcome people over 50 years to jointhem. I hope that the directory helps you to find a new group and thatyou can enjoy a healthier lifestyle and at the same time become moreinvolved in your local community. In addition to these clubs, theDistrict’s Leisure Development Team has started a new programmeof ‘taster activities’ from flower arranging to glass painting. The directory is a collection ofclubs, organisations andgroups who are involved inproviding a wide range ofleisure activities welcomingpeople over 50 years old. Wehave arranged them inalphabetical order for easyuse. The exact meeting timeshave not been included as theymay change, however pleasemake contact with the personnamed by the club and theywill be more than happy tohelp you. Three Rivers District Counciloffer assistance to appropriatelyconstituted local groups,organisations and clubs thatprovide a range of communityservices and leisureopportunities to residents of theThree Rivers District. Grantscan be used to purchaseequipment, produce informationor publicity leaflets, to extendservices offered etc.
