The Lakehouse is a favorite with local seniors.

After dining at the Lakehouse, we returned to the cabin for the night. The following morning we traded our cabin for a tent site.
Here I am helping the little woman with the tent.

Luke, our guide tells us the stone box encloses a sink hole, original entrance to the cave.

The cave was first explored by three children with with a single kerosene lantern.

A living limestone cave. “Living” means it is still being formed.

Caving is thirsty work. Time for a cold one.
![Page 26: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)
This sign looks familiar.

Ah! I found what I’m looking for.
![Page 28: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
We ran into an old friend who lives across the creek. He helped us to be tourists.
![Page 29: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
Texas music is played here.

Top-down weather in Luckenbach.
![Page 31: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
Luckenbach is fun, but we decided to find good German food in Fredericksburg, TX
![Page 32: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/32.jpg)
Under the bustle, Fredericksburg is a laid-back town.
![Page 33: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/33.jpg)
Back at the ranch, we took it easy. Tomorrow, we ride.
![Page 34: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/34.jpg)
Breakfast in Bandera. Across the street, a hand parks in front of the general store.
![Page 35: A Kerrville Trip](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54b845744a7959a2138b45cf/html5/thumbnails/35.jpg)
With breakfast under our belts, and Bandera in our rear views, we retraced our steps to the coast. Again, we rode under clouds and in
chilly air.
We’d had good weather all weekend, dangerous storms
having gone around us at night, and the sun having shone on us
during the day.We ran into light rain a few miles
from home. The clouds in Kerrville had turned into a deluge upon reaching the coast and we
rode in as it was pushing into the Gulf. I guess we just live right.
The road goes on forever
