A Journey Through Nature to Creativity A new presentation of the amazing journey up the Alaska Highway, through the Yukon Territory, and into the wilds of Alaska where he discovered his artistic gift hidden within, and how that ultimately led to the creation of the ‘Our Shared Planet’ project. Jim demonstrates the creative process behind these lifelike sculptures. He takes you from concept stage, through sketching, roughing out the woodblock, to fine detailing and painting of one of his stunning exhibit pieces. Jim Ramsdell is an award-winning, self-taught artist who discovered his gift late in life and wishes to share that gift with others. His wood sculptures have been juried into numerous shows and various locations throughout the Midwest. Jim’s artwork will be on display in the SOEI from October 12 – 22, 2015. A Journey Through Nature to Creativity

A new presentation of the amazing journey up the Alaska Highway, through the Yukon Territory, and into the wilds of Alaska where he discovered his artistic gift hidden within, and how that ultimately led to the creation of the ‘Our Shared Planet’ project.
