A Hubspotters Night Before Christmas
by Oscar R. Quiroga
LINGOCENTRAL
'Twas the night before
Christmas,
when all through the land ,
Not a creature was stirring,
not even a Twitter fan;
The CTA’s were hung on
the front page with care,
In hopes that our new lead
soon would be there;
The clients were nestled all
snug in their beds,
While visions of signed
contracts danced in my head;
And my wife in her
'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled on our
iMacs for a long winter's
nap;
When out on the news feed
there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my app to see
what was the matter;
Away to a new window I
flew like a flash,
I logged into my email and
threw up the sash;
When what to my wondering
eyes did appear,
But a handful of new likes
as I reached for my beer;
With a colorful analytic
report so lively and sweet,
I knew in a moment it must
be time for a tweet;
More rapid than eagles the
new site visits they came,
I whistled, and shouted, and
called them by name:
"Now, Facebook! now,
Twitter! now Google+ and
Chrome!
On, Hubspot! on,
Instagram! on, Basecamp
and iPhone!”
And then, in a twinkling, I
heard the chime of gmail,
The prancing and pawing of
each shiny new e-mail!
As I twirled in my seat, and
was turning around,
Down the buyers funnel new
leads came in with a bound;
They were dressed all in
fur, from their head to their
feet,
And their locations were
beaming with every new
tweet;
A bundle of questions popped
up on my screen,
About features, and benefits
and all sorts of things;
Their eyes—how they
twinkled! their search queries
were many!
I kept looking for google
search terms and couldn’t
find any!
The questions they asked
were like the movie “Elf ”,
And I laughed when I read
them, in spite of myself;
For I knew I could answer
them as quick as they came,
My Hubspot inbound
training made me the best in
the game;
I spoke not a word, but went
straight to my work,
And answered all the
emails; hoping I didn’t sound
like a jerk;
And laying my finger aside
of my nose,
And giving a nod, to the
office I rose;
I sprang to my phone and
gave my team a quick call,
Thanking them all for their
work - most important of
all.
I gladly exclaimed, as I put out the light—
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good
night!”
