COURSE DESCRIPTION (subject to change by instructors):

SESSION 1 (SEPTEMBER 22-24) The 1st session runs from Friday to Sunday all day.

This session is focused on the decision making factors that need to be taken into account when planning to place and restore implant cases. You will receive the input of a Prosthodontist, a Periodontist and an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon as they share their knowledge on Patient Selection Criteria, Risks/Benefits, Indication/Contraindications, Diagnostic Data, Cone Beam CT Scan Analysis, Complica-tions, Postoperative Management, Prosthetic Parameters and Design, Computer Guided Technology and Surgical Stent.

* There is NO NEED to have a patient selected yet for this first session.

SESSION 2 (NOVEMBER 2-5) The 2nd session runs for 4 full days and is mostly Hands-On.

THURSDAY: Meet and greet all patients as they have been pre-screened and selected by the Course Mentors. For those who require patients, they will get to meet their patient and perform an Exam. Full set of photos will be taken and CT Scans will already be available.

FRIDAY: This day is devoted to treatment planning every single case individually via Power Point format. Every case will be presented with Photos, Cone Beam CT Scan images & Models. Everyone will have the opportunity to observe and participate in the treatment planning of each individual surgical case.

SATURDAY: Live Demo Surgery by our Certified Specialists Dr. Irinakis & Dr. Sadeghi. Live Patient Surgeries by the participants for the remainder of the day under 1-on-1 Supervision.

SUNDAY: Live Patient Surgeries by the participants the entire day.

DR. SADEGHI Dr. Sadeghi is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He obtained his Doctorate of Medicine degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City as part of his 6-year oral and maxillofacial residency training in the same hospital. He is currently the Department Head of Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver and Assistant Clinical Professor at UBC Dentistry. Dr. Sadeghi lectures nationally and internationally on all aspects of Implant Surgery and has private practices in Vancouver and Port Coquitlam, BC.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

This course will run over 2 sessions for a total of 7 full days of education and training. Our mentors are Certified Specialists in Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Oral Surgery.

Dr. AminZadeh pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Western University, graduating in 2001. Following a successful decade of long practice in Burnaby, he returned to study at the University of Michigan dental school, recognized as the global leader in Prosthodontics, where

he received his Master of Science in Prosthodontics after an intensive three-year program. His education in the field of implant dentistry was supplemented by a Master Clinician certificate from gide institute and Loma Linda University in 2014. Dr. AminZadeh is an international speaker and a key opinion leader in the field of implant and microscope enhanced dentistry. In 2015 Dr. AminZadeh launched Implant Genius, an implant treatment planning service. He is a consultant for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Periodontists, and General Dentists. He is an expert in digital work flow stages from digital record taking, implant treatment planning using implant planning software, implant placement using a surgical guide, and custom prosthodontic restoration.

Dr. Sadeghi is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. He earned his dental doctorate from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He then completed a one year general practice residency (GPR) at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York, followed by a one year fellowship in Oral and

Maxillofacial Surgery at the Bronx VA hospital. He then obtained his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City as part of a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial residency training in the same hospital. Dr. Sadeghi has been in private practice since 2008. He was an attending surgeon at both Mount Sinai Hospital and Lincoln Medical Center in New York where he participated in resident training and development. He is currently the department head of dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver. He is also an assistant clinical professor at UBC Dental School. His main clinical areas of interest include maxillofacial trauma, implant surgery, pathology, and reconstruction/bone grafting. He has private practices in Vancouver and Port Coquitlam.

Dr. Tasso Irinakis is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics and one of the current leaders in comprehensive Implant Patient Care, Implant Education for Dental Professionals and Advanced Techniques in Soft Tissue Grafting. He served the University of British Columbia as the Director of Graduate

Periodontics & Implant Surgery for nearly a decade and continues to teach as a Clinical Associate Professor. He has published several research and clinical articles in prestigious journals in the field of Implant Dentistry. Educating dental professionals is his passion and has been doing so for over 15 years nationally and internationally through study clubs, courses and conferences. Dr. Irinakis has been honored twice by the American Academy of Periodontology with the “2005 Educator Award” for Outstanding Mentoring & Teaching in Periodontics and more recently the “2010 Educator Award” for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring in the Field of Periodontics. He serves the Academy as a Reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Periodontology. He is also a member of the Advisory board for the Journal of Implant & Advanced Clinical Dentistry and a reviewer for the Oral Surgery Journal among others.
