• Clinical  situa3ons  were  considered  for  test  ordering  rules  Example:  Itera3ve  ordering    for  ANCA  is  indicated  three  to  six  months  a>er  the  former  request  Situa3on  1  :  ANCA  is  reordered  before  3  months  (Test  overuse)  Situa3on  2  :  ANCA  is  not  reordered  a>er  6  months  (Test  underuse)    • Analyzing  clinical  situa3ons  led  to  extrac3on  of  condi3ons    

• Condi3ons  were  categorized  using  UML  modeling  

• Valida3on  of  the  model

•   The  model  clarifies  the  informa3on  elements  that  have  to  be  formalized  and  coded  in  EHR  (Test  orders,  laboratory  results,  clinical  condi3ons,  procedures,  medical  treatments)

•   Why  not  using  exis3ng  models  to  integrate  guidelines  in  computer-­‐interpretable  formats  ?

•   Implemen3ng  test-­‐ordering  rules  enables  further  evalua3on  of  reminder  effects  

•   Formula3on  of  new  laboratory  guidelines
