  • What is the Furniture Leasing Scheme?

    My choices

    What furniture can be provided?We are able to provide furniture that will enable you to live comfortably in your home.

    This can include a cooker, fridge, table and chairs, settee, armchair, wardrobe, chest of drawers and beds.

    Who maintains the furniture?The furniture is provided by Newcastle Furniture Services (NFS).

    If there is a fault or issues with the furniture you receive you must contact the Furniture Leasing Team on 0191 433 5345 or e-mail [email protected]

    We will then arrange for a replacement item if necessary.

    How do I apply?There are fi ve packages available, each with a varying number of points and costs (prices correct from 1 April 2014).

    Mini: 60 points maximumCost - 12.31 per week

    Option 1: 110 points maximumCost - 20.43 per week

    Option 2: 160 points maximumCost - 27.88 per week

    Option 3: 200 points maximumCost - 35.33 per week

    Option 4: 240 points maximumCost - 42.74 per week.

    Each item in the scheme has a points value.

    Choose the items you need, then add them up to see which option you may require.

    You may be able to order more than one of some items, like single beds. Your property and household size will be taken into account.

    Once you have selected a package complete an application form at your housing offi ce to determine whether you are eligible for the scheme, and if applicable, confi rm a delivery date.

    Please note you must meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme.

    The Furniture Leasing Scheme aims to help tenants by providing basic items of furniture. Customers can opt in to the scheme and pay a weekly charge to cover the furniture they require. Packages cost from 12.31 per week.

    Use this space to work out your choices before deciding on a nal pack.

    Important: The furniture remains the property of NFS and must not be removed from the property without prior permission.Please note that members of the companys existing Furnished Tenancy Scheme are not eligible to apply for this scheme.
