OverviewThis document will show you how to link your Remind and Twitter feeds with your Schoolwires website.Post ONCE to either service using your phone/tablet/computer, and it automatically shows up on your teacher web page!This reduces the time and effort needed to post information for students and parents in multiple locations. A few MINUTES now can save you HOURS later! Enjoy!

Embedding Remind

(Embedding Twitter starts on slide 18)Log into your Schoolwires account

Use the same login as your district e-mail

Click site manager at the top menu. This will open a new window separate from your internet browser.

Click New Page

Scroll down and choose Embed Code

Title your page (e.g. Remind Feed) and click Save.

Your new page will be at the bottom of your current list. Click to open it.

You will need a code from Reminds website to paste into this box. Leave this window open and go back to your internet browser.

Open a new tab, navigate to www.Remind.com, and sign in!

In the upper right corner, click the silhouette icon and choose widgets

Choose which class you want to embed on your website. You can also choose All Classes if you want all to be displayed in one feed. Click the blue Copy code button.

Go back to the Schoolwires site manager window that you left open before. Paste the code into the window, and click Save.

Youre finished!! To make sure it worked, go back to your browser and view the new page on your website as normal. You can also view your website within site manager by clicking here:

What you should see

Embedding Twitter

Log into your Schoolwires account

Open a new tab, navigate to www.twitter.com, and Log into your account.

Click your profile picture in the upper right corner, and choose Settings

First click Widgets near the bottom left, then click Create New in the center near the top.

12Click Create Widget

Time to copy the code!

Right click in the window of text and choose Select allRight click again and choose CopyGo back to the Schoolwires site manager window that you left open before. Paste the code into the window, and click Save.

Youre finished!! To make sure it worked, go back to your browser and view the new page on your website as normal. You can also view your website within site manager by clicking here:

What you should see

Congratulations!You should now be able to post to Remind or Twitter ONCE and information will be posted to that service AND your school website. If you have any questions, e-mail me at [email protected] or x7159.
