A Guest Lecture Report on “Advanced Concepts in Web Technologies”
As part of the research group activities, a guest lecture is conducted by Web
Technologies research group of Department of ECM on 12th
February from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
in peacock hall to the faculty and students who are interested to do research in web technologies
related topics. Mr. Chester Tully, director of “GAPVAK TECHNOLOGIES Pvt. Ltd”,
Vijayawada – an eminent resource person in web technologies has given the guest lecture. All
the 3rd
year,final year and M.tech students of ECM, the students of other branches interested in
web technologies, Web technologies research group members and other faculty of the KL
University attended the guest lecture.
In his lecture he discussed about the present trends in web technologies and emphasized the
importance of core java programming and JSP. He also explained the students what are the
concepts that the present software companies are looking for and he has given a brief overview
of the importance of MVC1 and MVC2 architectures how they can be used, along with the
design patterns. He also has given an introduction about the Android applications with live
execution.
Finally he discussed about the basic concepts that any one should know to start a research in
web technologies.
