SIPOTREC – Protection, Command and Control Systems

The Smart Grid (SG) has a wide portfolio of

smart and flexible infrastructures area and the

low Medium Voltage (LMV) offers a wide

choice of products/systems and solutions for

energy distribution infrastructures.

LMV supplied the medium voltage equipment

for seven new Angolan power plants

SG won two strategic orders from Empresa

de Distribuição de Electricidade de Luanda

(EDEL), related to a study of energy grid for

the Angolan capital and the preventive

maintenance of six substations

In the Portuguese market, three important

framework-contracts were signed with EDP

Distribution

Rail Systems

Airport terminals - Capacity Plus concept for airports

MOL | RL division connects different

transport systems. The solutions are

transversal to several platforms with the goal

of transporting people in an efficient way.

4 airports were implemented in the cities of

Soyo, Dundo, Luena and Saurimo, based on

the Capacity Plus concept.

The Baggage Base Logic system was

recognized by Siemens AG for airports of

medium and small dimension

The “100% Screening” project was

Highlights

The 3i program promoted and harvested employers’ ideas,

which generated 3,6 million euros

The Healthcare sector submitted, in 2012, another patent

request associated to an innovative method in the detection

of breast tumor lesion area, as a result of collaborated

protocols established with national institutions.

In the airport business Siemens Portugal developed a

baggage process system software that operates in several

countries namely, United Arab Emirates, China, USA,

Bahrain, India and Singapore.

fifth consecutive time, in first place in the “Diverse Industries” sector
