Understanding PricingThere are some key factors that you will need to understand about product pricing.

1. You are given a wholesale price on all products and options. There are already mark-ups built in for you to make a profit on all products and most options, however, you do have the ability to change these as you see fit. Before making any price changes we strongly recommend you go through this entire guide in detail.

2. All pricing is built from the Quantity option which acts as the base. Different selections made such as color, turnaround and finishing will either increase or decrease the cost. Some products such as Door Hangers, Pocket Folders and Greeting Cards will have finishing included by default. Also, most products will have discounts applied when landing on the page as the lowest price will be served automatically.

3. Products are built as follows: The Category, which is the grouping of products such as Business Cards and Brochures, the Sizes, the Options such as quantity and coating, and Values which are Finishing Options.

4. There are a total of eight pricing tiers giving you the option to give customers special pricing.A. Corporate : This is the highest price pointB. Retail: This is the next price point down and is set on your site by default unless otherwise specified.C. Tiers 1-6: These tiers scale down lower than retail. Tier 6 is just above your Wholesale Cost and Tier 1

is just below your Retail Cost.

Default Pricing Tier

Under General Settings on your storefront you have a Default Pricing Tier. This allows you to set the pricing tier for all new accounts created and what all visitors to the site will see. Simply click Edit, select the tier you prefer from the dropdown menu and then click Save. The default tier will automatically be set to “Retail”. When your storefront goes live any existing accounts will be set to “Retail”. Default pricing only affects new accounts and visitors - existing accounts must be edited individually.

Understanding Tiers

To edit a contact, click the gear displayed in the Browse all Contacts Page and on the View Contact page. This is where you can set a contact pricing tier. You can set the default tier across the board for one contact (Client). Make the selection from the drop down menu and click one of the Save buttons towards the bottom of the page. By clicking Edit Tier Pricing you can set a specific tier or a custom price for a specific product. This can be done on the Category, Product or Option level. Quantity is the base so as you dial down that is going to be what you’ll want to set. You can click through to set pricing for just one quantity of one size or as general as all products and quantities by setting the Category. When setting a Custom Price you cannot set a price lower than your cost.

Manage Products

You can manually change prices in the Manage Products interface. Click Manage Cats/Products in the left nav, then click View Products of the Category you want to edit, then Manage This Product to edit the specific product. You can manually set prices for all tiers and options. All options - both standard and additional - will have a base cost percentage. The far left column is your WS Cost. After you have made the desired changes click Save at the bottom of the page.

Mass Adjust Prices

Click Manage Cats/Products then Mass Adjust Prices in upper left hand corner. You will select or enter your domain in the field for Site, then click Manually Set Prices. From the drop down menu select Category>Product>Option>Value, select Set Prices Based on the Cost, Check box for Specific Value, select Quantity from Drop, and leave all quantities selected (Blue). Your screen should look just as it does above. (See next slide for further instruction.)

Mass Adjust Prices: Cont.

Select the category you want to edit by checking it’s box. Checking the box for the individual Category will serve the products below. Select All will select all quantities on all Categories and All Products. If you want to adjust a large number of categories at once, Select All and then Un-Select the Categories you don’t want to affect will be the most efficient way to adjust many categories/products at once.

Mass Adjust Pricing: Cont.

If you want to only change one Category or Product, check the box next to the appropriate Category. The products will then be served below. Clicking Select All will then select all quantities for that product. It is recommended to start at the bottom of the list of the products you are changing as it is easier to go through and make the selections you want.

Once you have made all of your selections, whether it be for one Category Product or for All, enter your mark-ups for all Tiers. You must enter a mark-up for every Tier using this tool - do not leave any fields blank. After you have you set your mark-ups it is recommended to use the Preview Tool to see what your mark-ups have changed the prices to. Your WS cost will be displayed to the right so you can get an idea of what your margins will be. Keep in mind again that there are other options that affect cost both increases and decreases of cost. Quantity is the base and should be the only option you change, unless you are an advanced user. Once you are happy with your results, click Submit to commit it to your database.

Viewing Pricing

The best and fastest way to view your prices is to login as a customer using your info and go to My Profile. There you will see the link View My Product Prices and this will show a list of all Categories. Clicking the category you would like to view will show a pricing matrix with drop down menus above (the same options available in the shopping calculator). Making different selections in these drop down menus will change the prices in the matrix. This will allow you to see all of the costs for the size and quantity side by side. It is a great tool for knowing your cost as well as for assisting customers to quote jobs.
