From Land’s End to the Devon border on both the Atlantic and
English Channel shores, Cornwall boasts craggy granite cliffs
alongside deep cut river valleys, secluded coves and great
swathes of golden sand. Pentire is the Cornish word for headland,
so when you consider this spectacular 400 mile coastline, it’s no
wonder the word is a familiar one locally.
Pentire Point is appropriately named – perched high on a headland
framed by the waters of the Gannel Estuary and the mighty ocean,
this collection of apartments and penthouses take full advantage
of an extraordinary position.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE POINT
Aerial view of Pentire Point, Fistral Beach and The Gannel Estuary
Pentire gives its name to this upmarket residential
peninsular to the west of Newquay and over-
looking two of the largest and most celebrated
beaches in this part of North Cornwall.
Fistral Beach lies on the north-western horizon –
a long stretch of fine golden sand and best
known as the epicentre of the British surf scene.
To the south is the beautiful Gannel Estuary with
a constantly changing landscape as the
shifting tides ebb and flow. It’s here that the
family-friendly Crantock Beach and its
backdrop of grassy dunes lies sheltered
between the East and West Pentire headlands.
Lewinnick Lodge is a local favourite for wining
and dining with spectacular cliff top views, or
walk down to the Fern Pit Cafe for the freshest
crab sandwich accompanied by a stunning
panorama over the estuary. The centre of
Newquay is within walking distance with its
quirky surf shops, traditional stores, al fresco
cafes and a fabulous choice of restaurants.
A CAPTIVATING location

Pentire Point provides a versatile mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses.
Contemporary in style and complementing its coastal location with a white render facade, the
development exploits its elevated position on the Pentire headland with most apartments facing
the glorious expanse of Fistral Beach and those on the upper levels capturing stunning dual
aspect views.
Light, airy and spacious with open plan accommodation, all apartments make the most of
Cornwall’s climate with private timber decked terraces or courtyards. Inside, the apartments
exude unashamed luxury with stone worktops, engineered oak flooring and stylish white
bathrooms finished with porcelain tiles.
Appliances are integrated, ‘A’ rated and generous in their provision, there is allocated parking
and for those who plan to take advantage of the Atlantic’s famous surf, there is a residents’
board storage and wash down area. Pentire Point proves that life on the coast can be lived in
ultimate comfort.
Inspiration was taken from the stunning colour palette of Fistral Beach and the cliffs of Towan
Head. The earth tones are reflected throughout the apartments and the external facade. The
specification creates an environment that harmonises with the tranquillity of the Gannel Estuary
whilst providing all the comforts and conveniences of a modern energy efficient home.

Cornwall is a land steeped in folklore and
legend that stems from a rich and colourful
history of mining, pirates and smuggling.
Whether real or imaginary, the tales bring
an air of mystery and intrigue that has long
attracted visitors.
St Michael’s Mount is a tiny gem of an island
with a medieval castle, priory and harbour yet
is still a living and working community. Bodmin
Moor shows Cornwall at its wildest with misty
bogs, sweeping expanses of heathland and a
wealth of archaeological monuments. The
historic fishing port of Padstow brims with
character and charm and has earned its
stripes as one of the county’s culinary hotspots.
The twentieth century saw the inception of
what will prove to be enduring cultural
attractions: the Minack Theatre now celebrates
80 years since its first production of The Tempest
on towering granite cliffs above the sea, the
Tate St Ives is one of the UK’s most important
galleries of contemporary art and of course the
unique Eden Project has unqualified
international appeal.

After more than 15 years of regeneration in
Britain's city centres, Acorn has turned its
attention to the coast with the launch of 'Acorn
Blue'. Following the same design led ethos
applied to our developments in London and
more recently throughout England, Acorn Blue
actively supports the rediscovery of some of
the country's favourite beachside resorts
through outstanding new architecture and
sensitive conversions.
Acorn Blue offers properties without compromise,
designed to bring the very best in contemporary
living to some of the country's most beautiful
shores. Well thought out space designed to
capture light and celebrate the views together
with a superior standard of specification, creates
the perfect home or retreat.
As much of our coastline is bathed in history
and designated areas of outstanding natural
beauty, Acorn Blue produce sensitive,
developments that reflect and enhance their
location whilst respecting the local
environment. Through Acorn's understanding of
the ever changing nature of development, we
hope to create some of our coastline's most
interesting and exciting new architecture.
