A clear crisp autumn day greeted the runners attending the Guy Fawkes 10 mile
race at Ripley. The multi terrain course contains several challenging hills but
sunshine made for superb views of the Nidd Valley before heading for the finish at
Ripley Castle. First home for Ripon was Richard Watson in an impressive 8th place in
a time of 1.00.47, he was followed by Derek McCreadie in 1.06.11, Ben Imeson

October. Ben Imeson led home the Ripon field in a time of 75.40, next in was Steve
Smith 84.02, Martin Gabriel 85.47, Nigel Bower 91.25, Lisa Sorby 103.21, Leah
Horner 114.31 and John Bull 123.44.
