JNN Group is an Information Governance and Data Analytics company specializing in predictive analytics, information security, data privacy, and information management. JNN Group’s data scientists use machine learning algorithms to answer client’s data security and information governance questions, providing a comprehensive strategy for helping organizations design effective solutions to the real business challenges arising from technological advances and the proliferation of electronic data.

The Pasadena, California-based company, founded in 2014, came to Rackspace after experiencing inadequate service and support from a previous hosting provider.

“We found that the Rackspace flexibility with their cloud servers offering was really instrumental,” explains Jacques Nack Ngue, JNN Group’s Founder and CEO. “JNN Group started with a footprint of one cloud server and today we have well over fifty cloud servers and dedicated machines on the Private Cloud at Rackspace.”

NETWORK SECURITY IS CRUCIAL

Because of the sensitivity of data, JNN Group understands security is of the utmost importance to their clients. At JNN Group headquarters, all data is stored on encrypted drives, and can only be accessed via strong, revolving passwords by JNN Group engineers. “Network Security is absolutely crucial,” he said

Hosted data is stored on Rackspace Private Cloud. “Rackspace is really critical for a company providing data security,” he said.

“The difficulty in my field is to think that a security expert knows the latest patches in Windows,” he said. “When we are able to get those kinds of experts

to work with us — we are very happy to have the Rackspace Managed Services teams to run the rest of our operation.”

With complete confidence in the network security provided by his team at Rackspace, Nack Ngue had this to share. “Not only do we know that our infrastructure is maintained at the highest level with the highest requirements, but we also know that the Rackspace team will proactively contact us letting us know when there are new vulnerabilities or even when we are expanding our system to make sure that we don’t include additional vulnerabilities in our system.”

As JNN Group’s Private Cloud footprint grows, along with sizeable increase in users, having an infrastructure that scales is essential for future growth. “Rackspace does provide JNN Group the ability to scale,” he said.

“In our model – especially delivering applications to users, it is important that we cap hardware costs per user to a certain number,” he said. “And in our procurement efforts, Rackspace has been instrumental in helping us acquire hardware and implement hardware to meet those quotas.”
