The Solution
The Siemens corporate HQ was originally built in 1972 but underwent a recent refurbishment designed by JHK architects.
The main focus point in this fit-out was the creation of equality in working places for all employees. This was achieved by re-introducing the openness of the original building concept and a standardised technical core within open plan office floors. These floors can be subdivided in a flexible way where required but the design mainly employs an open plan space.
2 standard width lanes and 1 stand alone wide lane of EasyGate LX where used
for pedestrian access and a spate SwingGate lane was provided for deliveries.
The EasyGate pedestals where custom-designed with waist-height barriers and
to seamlessly blend with the overall building design, the pedestals were
squared off and finished in a white toughened paint finish.
The SwingGate was customised to have a squared of pedestal to match the rest
of the units and was finished in the same white paint
