SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION
We Prepare Ourselves to Receive the Gift (unison)
Gracious God, sometimes it seems that the broken things inside of us
never seem to mend, the empty places always ache, and the buds
within us never reach a blossom. But, we know You as the persistent
God of love and grace; forgive our faults, help us to accept ourselves
and lead us to do that which is good and true. We come this Easter,
believing that You can mend our brokenness and make us blossom
with your glory. We come believing in your resurrection, and ask for
the same miracle in our own lives.
(Silent Prayer)
Assurance of Pardon
We Receive God’s Gift
Partaking of the bread – the body of Christ
Partaking of the cup- the blood of Christ
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Blessing of the Children
We believe that the blessings of God are extended to children as well.
To express this belief, children are invited to come forward, into the
chancel, for laying on of hands and blessing.

I pray because I can’t help myself. I pray because I’m helpless.
I pray because the need flows out of me all the time - waking and sleeping. It does not change God - it changes me.
