SDC partners with both multilateral organizations and government institutions to create long-term, sustainable programs to reduce poverty, strengthen food security, expand economic opportunities for rural and marginalized communities, encourage gender and ethnic equity, while promoting a more active civil society that fosters transition to democracy. The CLCMGoMP contributes to the Swiss Cooperation Strategy in Myanmar for SDC focuses its bilateral interventions in the southeast of Myanmar, namely Mon, Kayin, Kayah States, and east Bago and northern Tanintharyi Regions. The CLCMGoMP is part of the Agriculture and Food Security (AFS) portfolio. SDC is also a donor member of the Livelihood and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT). In Myanmar, HELVETAS works in close cooperation with the Department of Rural Development (DRD) under the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development (MoLFRD), in partnership and coordination with local actors from the civil society, private and public sector.myanmar About NAG Network Activities Group (NAG) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization and has implemented relief and recovery activities since NAGs vision is "A society which is peaceful, prosperous and sustainably developed", NAG facilitates and coordinates activities that create networks for development efforts, and works with partners to promote governance among relevant stakeholders at the national and sub-national levels. NAG is one of the leading national NGOs with an excellent track record in mobilizing communities, supporting local governments, and facilitating relationships between the private sector and local producers. NAG implements livelihood improvement projects in three main regions of Myanmar- Delta, Dry Zone and Hilly regions, focusing on agriculture, livestock and in particular fisheries, and cooperates closely with the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development (MoLFRD) and its departments at different levels. NAG is committed to building the capacity of people and community based and civil society organizations, creating economic opportunities, and promoting good governance. About IUCN IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, is the worlds oldest and largest global environmental organisation, with more than 1,200 government and NGO Members and almost 11,000 volunteer experts in some 160 countries.
