COLDPLAY

Coldplay are a very successful alternative rock band. Formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and Lead Guitarist Johnny Buckland. Guy Berryman and will champion joined the band later. They released three singles until they were signed by Parlophone record. They achieved worldwide success when they released the single “yellow” they went on to released their first album in that year.

The front cover of the album is a artistic like the most alternative rock albums. The 3D face used in this album cover was created by scanning a woman face in a 3D scanner. Only half of the face Is one it because only 30 centimetres could be scanned. The spike that come of the face were added on afterwards .It was then chosen by royal mail to feature in there 10 iconic album covers and would feature on a special edition of Stamps. The album reached number 1 in many album charts across the world.

BOOKLET

Inside the booklet it has a couple of picture of the band. One of the band in the studio and one of the band walking in a field. This is here to increase band awareness.

BOOKLET The inside of the album changes from the outside. Instead of having white background with a gold writing it changes to a black background with gold writing . This part of the booklet also look at charity. Coldplay have always been linked to charities such as Oxfam.
