Birthdays are always special, whatever your age, and: May 5th May 5th May 5th May 5th May 5th was truly a Night to Night to Night to Night to Night to Celebrate Celebrate Celebrate Celebrate Celebrate the 20th Birthday of a little girl in a pink wheelchair. We are blessed with her presence and her impact on the lives of so many. May 5th May 5th May 5th May 5th May 5th was a Night to Honor Night to Honor Night to Honor Night to Honor Night to Honor the outstanding advocacy of Charlie Sabatino, who has worked “tirelessly and quietly” for people of all ages. His philosophy of making a difference, one day at a time, one step at a time, one person at a time, is a lesson for all of us. We thank Charlie’s family for their presence at the dinner and Past Honoree, Scott Severns, for his presentation of the Theresa Award to Charlie. A grant will made in Charlie’s honor to “Camp About Face.” This program gives children who are facially disfigured the opportunity to enjoy a summer camp experience. A FAMILY GATHERING (The Twelfth Annual Theresa Awards) Summer, 2006 May 5th May 5th May 5th May 5th May 5th was a Night to Remember Night to Remember Night to Remember Night to Remember Night to Remember the extraordinary life of Scott “Bubba” Pollock. His life was one of courage and leadership ... teaching us how we should live our lives without barriers. As Bubba would say, “Failure is not an Option.” We thank his parents, Scott and Mady, sister, Lauren, and his family for sharing Scott with us. The video of his life has inspired us all to lead lives of “giving.” A grant will be made to The Bubba Fund to help make Bubba’s dreams become a reality for others. There are moments in life that are very special. They are often not planned; they just happen. May 5th was one of those nights. The love of over 300 people, gathered together to celebrate life, created an energy that will stay with us for many years to come.
