William (3), b. 1677; d. 1727; m. Mary Adams, 1707; she WaS possibly of a

Chelmsford line; she m. 2nd.,1728, George Graine;er(3), son of In.

Grainger and Martha Poor; she d. in Che1msford,1757, age 77.

Timothy (3), b. in Andover, 1681; published to Idary 7lilson,I707; she d. in

Bradford, Dec. 29,1750, a widow. ( Was he a sailor ['nd was drowned?)

T'nomas (3), b. 1684; I think he went to Mar1ooro and m. Lydia l~Iaynard, 1713.

Moses (2) Haggett lived in the West end of the tmvn, sec Bailey ,page

121. lIe was not on lists as proprietor, before 1678-(although they are not

in-law, 14 acres of upland and 7 acres of marsh on South west side of Blanch·

ardIs Pond. He paid 12 shillings per year to the Church, as tribute, and Town

tax. He was then of Ipswich, the home of Joann Johnsom, before the family

came here.

" " Blanchard's Pond was named Hagtsett' s, for him, after he and Tim Moore

bought up the Blanchard estates and owned the island in the middle of the 1"20.

Tradition has it that he was tr;Tine; to make a settlement in 16'7'6 ahd

was clearing lots when he and his sons were taken prisoners by Indians. The

family doubtless escaped.

The Burt farm Was really on the Pond.The house stood somewhere else,1760.
