We are looking for a sponsor of a statue of SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR for

our church. He is the saint of Agriculture and his feast day is May 15th.

We would like to recognize him since he was part of our church history. If

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel SVDP Conference extends their

Everyday Stewardship

When I was a teenager, I had an experience that truly changed my

life and helped me to give Jesus all of myself. I had been bap!zed

Catholic and always had faith, but it took a specific event to really

shake me out of the comfort of my life and set me on a path de-

voted to God. I didn't get knocked off a horse or find an open

tomb, but for me it was powerful enough to make a huge impact.

Tes!monies of how people came to live as inten!onal disciples

have great power. O�en the stories do not include singular events

or people; instead they speak of a gradual unfolding of faith. It is

o�en the culmina!on of several events and the work of more

than one person that brings a person to the point of real decision.

Living as good stewards, we can help move people forward in

their journey with God. Giving of ourselves freely can move hu-

man hearts like few other forces. God working through us can

bring others to see that simply saying that Jesus is the Savior of

the world does not mean we live our lives differently. It takes

more thought and reflec!on on our part to move past words to

inten!onal acts with inten!onal results. I don't know if all those

involved in that event when I was a teenager knew what an effect

their good stewardship would have on me, but I am so thankful

they provided a way for God to touch me. I have spent my en!re

life trying to pay them back by allowing God to touch others

through me. Just what person might God touch through you to-

day?

La corresponsabilidad diaria

Cuando era adolescente tuve una experiencia que realmente cambió mi

vida y me ayudó a entregarme a Jesús completamente. Ya era un Católico

bau!zado, y tenía fe, pero necesite un evento grande para sacudirme,

fuera del confort de mi vida y que me puso en un camino devoto hacia

Dios. No me caí de un caballo, ni encontré una tumba abierta, pero para

mí fue lo suficientemente poderoso para tener un gran impacto. Los tes-

!monios de cómo la gente empezó a vivir como discípulos intencional-

mente son muy poderosos. Muchas historias no incluyen eventos singu-

lares o personas par!culares; en vez de eso nos hablan de un despliegue

gradual de su fe. Muchas veces es la culminación de muchos eventos y

del trabajo de más de una persona lo que lleva a uno al punto de una

decisión verdadera. Viviendo la corresponsabilidad podemos mover a

otros en su camino con Dios. Si nos damos libremente podemos mover

los corazones de otros como pocas otras fuerzas. Cuando Dios trabaja en

nosotros es a través de nosotros que puede hacer que otros vean que

simplemente decir "Dios es el Salvador del mundo" no quiere decir que

nosotros vivimos de una forma diferente. Necesitamos más que solo

pensamientos y reflexiones para pasar de palabras a actos intencionales

con resultados intencionales. Yo no sé si todos que tomaron parte en el

evento de mi adolescencia supieron que gran efecto tuvo su corre-

sponsabilidad en mí, pero doy gracias a ellos, por haber provisto un

camino para que Dios me tocara. He pasado mi vida entera intentando

devolverles el favor al dejar que Dios toque a otros a través de mí. ¿Qué

persona podrá tocar Dios a través de !?
