How can European Commission support DAB digital radio?
DigitalAgenda
• Include digital terrestrial radio (DAB / DAB+) in the Digital Single Market Strategy
• Encourage allocation of Band III spectrum to digital radio (via co-ordination amongst Member States)Spectrum
Consider regulation* that new radio receivers be capable of receiving FM / DAB / DAB+Receivers
* Similar to French receiver law with similar requirements once 20% of population is covered by digital radio: https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichTexte.do?cidTexte=JORFTEXT000000248397#LEGIARTI000024041152
