Emerging Technologies program provides new measures to renew Energy Efficiency portfolio

At this point solutions are in the baseline. They do not contribute any more to PG&E’s efficiency goals.

ET brings new technologies over the “chasm” between early adopters and large-scale deployment

PG&E Energy Efficiency Emerging Technologies for AB32 objectives• 60 ET energy efficiency projects in process

• Increasing number of opportunities

• 7.9 GWh or 4,338 tons of CO2 reduction in 2006 – 1 project, refrigerant charge & airflow

• Energy Efficiency Emerging Technologies are :

– A major resource of CO2 generation reduction

– Quick to implement

– Economically attractive: payback periods are commonly shorter than 4 years
