June 9th & 10th is Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend! Adults can fish Michigan’s waters, license free, So why not take your kids fishing or better yet, come on out and enjoy the park’s Free Fishing Festival?

Events include: Family Fishing Derby Youth Fishing Clinic

Kid’s Kasting Kontest Fish Fun Fair featuring activity boots such as: Fishy Craft Corner, Make a Lucky Fishing Lure, Fish Print T-shirts, Fish ID Contest, Minnow Races, Live Lamprey & more!

Join us for this special kick-off for our summer Tuesday

Night Fishing in the Park program. Registration begins

at 9am on the visitor center lawn. Kids who participate
