The Shand & JursModel 94040 Spring LoadedConservation Vent is designed utilizing over 80years of experience in producinghighquality anddependable conservation ventsandsafety fittings.Thisventmeetstheneedofhigherpressuresettingsrequired on storage tanks (ideally suited whenblanketedwithnitrogenorotherinertgas),processvessels and piping common to the petroleum,chemicalandpetro-chemicalindustries.

Higherpressuresettingsareaccommodatedusingauniquemethodofspringloadingwhichensureshighlyreliableoperationandreducesexcessiveventingofproduct at a relatively low cost.Pressure settingsrangefrom1psithrough15psiforsizes2’’to10’’andupto10psiforthe12’’size.Screwandflangetypeconnectionsareofferedforthe2”and3”sizeandflangeonlyforsizes4”to12”.Vacuumprotectionisprovidedutilizingaweightloadedverticalliftpalletassemblythatassuresopitmumairflowintotank.

The pallet to seat diaphragm is cushion seatedTeflon for long service life andoptimum reliability.Thisdiaphragmhelpstoensureahighresistancetoanyiceandgumformations,preventsthepalletfromstickingtotheseat.Thecarefullyengineeredbody,seatandpalletoffersasuperiorcombinationoftightsealingandhighcapacityatlowerover-pressure.

One of themost important featureswhich shouldbenoted in theModel94040design is thevarietyofconstructionmaterialsavailable.Awiderangeofhighlycorrosiveandtoxicproductscommontothepetroleum,petro-chemicalandchemicalindustries,requirethataconservationventbeabletowithstandthisenvironmentandstill function reliably.For fewinstanceswhereourstandardmaterialsmaynotbesuitable,optionalmaterialsarereadilyavailable.
